The Dye Sublimation Process

The dye sublimation process starts with a design and layout of the specific product or garment. Once the design has been finalised, it gets printed with dye-inks on specialised paper…

STEP 1: DESIGN

Our designers work lay up your garment / product design on patterns using cad software. Each measurement, colour and technical detail is carefully checked before it gets sent to print.

STEP 2: PRINT

Using state of the art printers like Roland and Epson, combined with the best available Dye sublimation inks, we print the complete garment/product onto rolls of paper up to 1600 mm wide. Once everything has been printed the roll of paper goes to our production department.

STEP 3: PRESS & QUALITY CHECK

According to the specifics on the job card, our production department prepares the right type of fabric to press the print work onto. The paper is placed on top of the fabric and is sent through a massive rotary heat press that dyes the fabric with the printed ink. Every square cm of the printed fabric then gets inspected for possible flaws.
